Free Block R magnets (sorry heaven...beat you to it :)

for those who thought the Univ. wasn't giving these out anymore...here is the process for scoring one this season as part of the Show Your R program just announced:

Looking for a Block R car magnet? Here are three ways to pick up your FREE magnet:

1) Rutgers ticket office located inside the RAC, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

2) Any home football game under our brand new Gameday Information Tents located prominently on the North and South Plazas, along Scarlet Knight Way, and at the RAC.

3) Any home basketball game or select Olympic Sports events at the marketing table.

This is good for people who go to the games,but Rutgers needs to find a way to get these to fans for Free everywhere in the state--Shop-Rites,mini-marts,gas stations,sporting goods stores,restaurants and bars OR what would be better, come up with some kind of package of coupons from various companies and MAIL the magnets to people around the state--from Montague to Fortescue,Hoboken to Haddon Heights-- for FREE. Just my two cents.

something like send a self addressed postage paid envelope to Rutgers @ XXX a get a free one... 2 free per household... but then again, we do have a budget...best when a sponsor comes up with something like that.

Now you got me thinking. I am in CPG and Wakefern is one of my big accounts. perhaps I can work something out here (my buyer is also a Rutgers grad/Season tix holder)

Seriously, the only time I had one stolen was by the TTFP people who were parked around me, and it was an old cruddy one, bleached and peeling, so I hope they enjoyed it.
