Freeman officially out for year

I hope he's ok but as far as the program goes, something finally went right. I expected Jordan to have him suit up the season finale.

There will be more nights like tonight. Doorson and Diallo also probably not coming back. Laurent is the only add to this mess.

That's bad news for this year having those players out, but if they can be redshirted it will help RU in the long-run, because nothing could save this season from being disaster.
Hate to say it, but Hobbs needs to take a good look at the direction RU MBB is heading and do something to fix it.
If it's changing the HC , so be it.
But loses like today can't go on and injuries aren't the whole problem.

The silver lining is that this pretty much handcuffs Freeman to RU. Since he has appeared in less than 30% of the team's games, and none after the midpoint of the season, he should be eligible for a medical redshirt. So if he stays at RU, he still has two to play two. Anywhere else in D1, it's two to play one.

Same is true of the other two injured players. Since they will have already taken their redshirt year, a transfer would cost them a year of eligibility.

Could Freeman be eligible as a graduate transfer after 2016-17 season?
