i listened to first half on radio and Recco and other guy were vehemently calling out the bad calls. particularly the other guy (forgot his name).

Same here--they couldn't believe the no calls on Corey's drives towards end of 1st half as well as a phantom block whistled on Duke (IIRC).

Issa needed to stop taking threes, pump fake and drive to the hoop. He did it once and got a layup (his only bucket). Bardo was 100% right with his assessment of Thiam - take it to the hole. Second, there was no attempt to set up our bigs at all. Look, I know Doorson and Sa are hit or miss, but they were looking OK last night. Get it down to them a couple more times and see what happens. Third, Sanders taking it into three tall long defenders multiple times and getting stuffed. Offensive coaching was really questionable last night.

Agreed, he needs to get stronger in the off season so he doesn’t rely on just 3’s

This is, I think, the problem with the Corey Sanders debate. It seems crazy to think that we would be better off without him because of his athleticism, recruiting pedigree, and his raw point totals.

But at the same time, a 6-2 guard who shoots 43% on 2-pointers and 23% on 3-pointers should honestly not be that hard to replace or upgrade for a Big Ten team.

Give me a break. Without Corey Sanders , we have borderline Big 10 talent at every position. Corey is asked to do everything and he has never played with a big man that has hands or knows how to pick and roll or pick and pop. Corey also defends the other team’s best guard and he plays between 35-38 minutes a night. Coach’s offense when Geo or Issa do not get free and do not drive to the basket almost ever, especially Issa, and Mike to a lesser extent when he was playing, would kick the ball back out with 10 or less on the clock and Corey has no choice but to get a shot up or risk a shot clock violation. The fact that you even think he will be easy to replace is absurd. I frankly do not agree that we will be better off and I wonder what kind of Johnnny come lately fan you are.
