Game 9: Women's Hoops at No. 17 Indiana (Postponed)

I think at this point I would try and get the freshman as much game experience and play towards next year as I don't see them going anywhere even if they make the NCAA tournament

Okay what’s going on here? Is coach ill (hope not)? Have more cases popped up despite what I assume was a mandatory quarantine a month ago? I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this with another program across the nation in any sport as of yet seems odd?? Maybe not! Maybe coinciding with wrestling?? Sucks!!!

I believe this is no longer a Covid issue but a conditioning issue.

the program is done for the season

with most programs in mens that had covid issues, at least we were given some information on what was going on. There has not been one scintilla of information for 6 weeks now

Off the top of my head, Duke, Vandy, Virginia, San Jose State are some big names that have CN'd season. Sure there are many more about to follow suit.
Here is another comprehensive overview of all sports worldwide.

Couldn’t care less about around the world, didn’t say anything about canceling an entire season and I’m obviously concerned with our program. It seems like we just continue to cancel games week after week and I haven’t seen anything like that happen off the top of my head but thank you I appreciate your hard work my friend! Guess I could’ve been a little more clear my bad!

Looks bad, but better safe than sorry.
This is something we've never seen before and we must hope the ones making the decisions have the players' welfare come before keeping the schedule intact.

Someone else just went a month between games. I forget who it was, but I watch a lot of WBB games on TV and announcers were making a thing of not playing for a month, NC State was down for 3 weeks (3rd to 24th).

Often, it is the contract tracing and "protocols" rather than anyone "still" testing positive, but who knows. Schools have generally not released any detailed info, although sometimes they will. When UConn was paused, they identified it was a support staff person that was the issue; NC State's star player, Cuhane, was ill, although I don't know if that was known before they resumed and she was still unable to play.

Regardless, it is quite unlikely that a team can make any waves after missing a month, but I don't think that there is any advantage to cancelling the rest of the season unless the players decided so, as occurred at Duke, Virginia, Vanderbilt, etc.
