92-54 final...didnt watch or listen to all that much of the game so someone else is in charge of recapping duties tonight
Somebody will. That was seriously one of the most fvcked up things I've seen in basketball. I get that tempers flare and sometimes even fights break out, but you can usually follow a chain of events that leads up to it. But this was in the normal course of play around the three-point line, no bad blood in the game, and the guy hands the ball off to his teammate and sets a screen, and as Corey goes to go around it the dude just punched him in the face. I'm getting pissed off just thinking about it, and I like physical play. After seeing the replay, the footage of which the camera crew had to find because it was't on regular TV and wasn't obvious in regular speed, I was impressed that Corey didn't attack the fvcking guy.
Corey looked stunned. He just turned to the ref like "wtf just happened?"
Well, the last time someone had *more* than 11 assists in a game was Corey Sanders last year... but before that was Earl Johnson in 1997. One more assist, and Geo would have been tied for 7th all-time in assists in a single game. As it stands, 11 assists in a game would tie for 13th all time.

They didn't show his reaction on replay since the cameras weren't focused on that. But they caught the punch.
If you watched the regular camera angle from the game he totally stopped playing and turned to the ref.

Don't worry, they cooked plenty for the CCNY game and have tons of leftovers. They'll just reheat them and there will be plenty available for the next $1 dog night!
Thanks, I couldn't make tonights game because of a church function. So at least I'll be able to watch the game Sunday.
