Mobile ticket delivery option unveiled for basketball and wrestling seasons, will be available for football

Rutgers Athletics announced that a mobile-only ticket option will be available for the Scarlet Knights' seven home football games in 2019. The 150 Pass guarantees admission to all home games at HighPoint.com Stadium for just $150 as Rutgers celebrates its 150th Anniversary as the Birthplace of College Football.

Limited passes will be available to the public via the RutgersGameday.com page on a first-come, first-served basis. These mobile-only tickets will be delivered to the iPhone or Android phone of the registered purchaser on a game-by-game basis upon arrival at HighPoint.com Stadium. The passes are non-transferable, unprintable and can only be used by the purchaser and/or other designated ticket holders. 150 Pass holders will receive their tickets via mobile delivery 24-48 hours prior to kick off.

Seating will be available in the 200 level for each of the seven games. Purchasers can receive parking in the Light Blue/Tan Lots for an additional cost of $210 or in the RAC Lot for $140. Individuals may purchase up to four 150 Passes together, but that purchaser will own all four passes and will need to present the digital tickets at every game for the group to gain access to the stadium.

Plenty of good seats still available but you have to act now! :sunglasses:

wait...."mobile only tickets"?

so they DO have the ability to do mobile tickets for the rest of us but they just choose not to? #askingforafriend

FYI: The RAC Pass (for basketball) was supposed to be non-transferrable but you could transfer it.

So they don't plan a game around the anniversary but use the anniversary to try to hawk tickets. At a steeply discounted price and piss off everyone who paid full price. Brilliant.

If you bought the cheapest tickets off StubHub for every game, you could probably get in for cheaper than $150 for the season. Not sure this changes the equation for season ticket holders.

What people should do is cancel their season ticket order. Sign up for this and request their regular season ticket location.

You can't request a location with the 150 Pass. You get put in a different spot each game in the upper wings of the 200 level.

discriminatory policy towards seniors, whom only 2/3rds of have smart phones.

Just indicates 200 level.
I'm assuming it is like the RAC Pass for basketball. There are a limited number of RAC Passes sold, and for each game you attend you are assigned a random vacant seat. I know people who bought RAC Passes and then converted to regular season tickets the following year.

If you bought the cheapest StubHub ticket RIGHT NOW for every game, it would set you back $255. That includes $115 for Ohio State alone.

I am trying to remember the year.. probably 86-87.. I first saw one of those on a cablecar high over a valley.. the guy was offering people the free use of the phone to call home and say "guess where i am calling you from!".. every person using it said something like that.

AMAZING!

For once I don't hate this promotion. I know the basketball one was very successful.

All the folks who buy season tickets, and I’m one of them, need a lobotomy. Two minutes into any game you can plop down in almost any seating section of the stadium.

So excluding the OSU game, I can get a StubHub ticket for every other game for $140. And I can buy a 200 or endzone seat for the OSU game for $40 from Rutgers. But I think it is pretty likely that cheaper tickets will be available on StubHub as we get closer to the season. So the 150 Pass really isn't that much of a price deal for "get into the stadium with any cheap seat" tickets. But it locks in the price and gives you the option to buy season parking.

Its a first move to get something from nothing. They can position it as limited seating options for folks pissed about buying season tix but in reality once you walk into the stadium, you'll have the choice of sitting damn near anywhere you want.

This isn't the R AC where 200 level was busy and 100 policed.

Better thought would be sell folks on pre-check list where you could get into stadium fast and hastle free lol.

Its just starting. Wait till fall.

I think you're right. Most season ticket types want the priority points ( I typed in "priority" into my phone and it even brought up "points" as an option.

Wait my friend.
Tickets will be in the single $ digits by Game week.
Even assuming nobody in a given crew has extras one can pretty much pay $10-$15 per game outside the stadium and if you're unlucky $75-$100. If there's any chance of bad weather it's even tough to sell a single for ANY team including Ohio State or Penn State. I've tried to sell my single season premium in the past and sans Penn State and good weather had trouble selling the single. That said if you are blessed with money/good job it's important to financially support the program!

For those with premium seats and parking who want to support the program -and with big tailgates with their friends the games R a or THE major social event of the year. These people want to tailgates and sit with their friends and be in position for small adjustments. They want to support the program and R willing to pay to avoid any hassles due to work/family. Even the 2 parties who put together our sizable tailgates have arrived late-even well into the game-because of their kid's activities.

Tennessee offering the same thing for $280 (8 home games)

Ticket Office’s Hail Mary play ... Next they will throw in a parking pass.
Have no problem with the former but would be really *annoyed with the latter. Especially if it was a Busch Lot Pass.

* and not personally but for those who forked over the cash to be there in the first place.

RutgersAl should take his whatever savings he has, and buy many passes as possible. when the team is 6-0 this year and heading towards the Big 10 championship, he'll be able to make literally tens of thousands in profit on the last 4 home games

This is becoming the norm around the country, but read the fine print: upper deck only.

Two minutes into a game, you can re-position your group to a much more expensive seating area.

Bad situation for Rutgers to be in since they count every penny. The real cost of Ash is more than $2+ million a year.

Only if Hobbs had gone to the police.
