Theres a lot to be said about drive and ambition, and this kid has something to prove. My prediction is that he's going to shut up all the doubters and naysayers with 80 yd opening drive down the field for a touchdown. Then this offense is gonna beat up on Minny to the point of embarrassment. This is this first of our big upsets. I expect a bunch of 'you were rights' posted by 2:30pm EST.

Excited to see what Gio can do. I have a good feeling about his ability to make plays running and passing.
I hope you're right . But that this kid was a 3rd string quarterback behind 2 BIG stinkers doesn't bode well for us.
Some players are just gamers. I hope this is the case with Gio despite being buried on the depth chart.
Mehringer is going to have to adjust his game-plan for us to win. A ton of Josh Hicks and quick slants and 5-10 yard outs. I would also put in a package for Odin to mix things up. If we can keep their offense off the field and manage to not keep shooting ourselves in the foot, I think we have a chance for an upset.
Bottom line is Ash needs to steal two Big Ten games so this off-season, the fan base doesn't go into 'Here We Go Again' mode.
