Gio's playing horribly - for the love of all that's holy, can we put Oden in?

I don't know how much is his injury, how much is the o-line, or how much is the defense, but it just ain't workin' today. Why not put Oden in to get some experience with the first team O?

Leave Gio alone. He is home. Besides he practiced well this week and Oden probably did not get many reps. Oden can play special teams.

Everyone's a quarterback expert. Two weeks ago, this kid was the Second Coming.

I'm combing the board for the thread about pulling our left tackle in favor of his understudy, but there's none to be found.

Doesn't take an expert to see that Gio just didn't play well today. And I'm annoyed we're obviously not letting Oden run the whole offense - his only 2 pass attempts are those safe little flanker screens - c'mon, let him play.

And still no passes allowed. I'm not very happy with our coaching staff today. Their worst performance this season, by far, losing 49-0 to a 2-7 team. Inexcusable.

Amazing it's a no win situation yet they have some aversion to allowing Oden to throw the football down the f*cking field. Unbelievable. I still have no idea if he can throw the ball downfield and it's game 10.

When he comes in can he throw some passes? Sorry did not see above.

And Oden gets no passes to speak of all quarter. That is shitty coaching folks.

Did you even watch the game? He threw the ball a few times (not great) and dropped back a few times as well, but ended up scrambling.

He threw one about 5 yards in front of a receiver on a screen. He threw another behind Goodwin on a screen. Maybe that is why he is not passing.
Oden may rarely have passed in HS. It's entirely possible the three attempts on his highlight reel are his career completions.

Can you even read a thread? I said all he got were the two ultra-safe flanker screens, which really aren't letting him run the full offense (he got a 3rd flanker screen at the end of the game).

oden can't throw for shit. he's not gonna do shit either

The only one that can throw, won't ever get a chance, I don't
like this kind of football,, football is suppose to be about strong
armed quarterbacks throwing long passes at least be able to
when needed. Do not like what I'm seeing and sold my ticket
for Mich, and Penn state next. And for the first time shut the TV off
today..
This is from a guy who not only never missed a home game but
would watch the replays at home 2 or 3 times a game.
This is my low point since the mid fifties. If this continues I hope
the AD doesn't hold on to this for 11 years.

Gio's strength was purported to be running. He has been a drop back passer since Minny--and has struggled. He looked real good when the D had to respect the run.

If he is hurt and cant run, and we are looking to come back and throw, what is the ultra secret as to why rettig can't get a chance? He suits up and throws in practice and game day. What would be the harm in getting him back there in the spread and having him throw it all over the yard? We have 3 ZEROS this year. It can not be worse.

We will see what he can do next year, for some other team. After all,two staffs know better. Results speak volumes.
