I know the grease trucks were relocated to different spots years ago but I was wondering where those locations are. Was hoping to make a trip soon so my wife can have her first fat sandwich.

Unfortunately, they’re gone now. RU hungry has a store front in the Yard.
I seem to recall having the option of more than one before 1992 in that area.Don't have an answer for you, op. Not sure if they're still dispersed across the multiple campuses but I wonder how that worked out for their business.
Despite occupying some real estate and certainly it doesn't have to be corner of "main and main" like College and Hamilton, I think the idea of multiple food trucks thrives better if they are co-located. Clustering promotes competition.
A central location may not be possible but I wonder if when the phase of the master plan with the CA campus core is implemented, they can find space near the transportation hub to have an adjacent grease truck site.
The spot at College and Hamilton starting back in 1992 on a college campus was an early concept for what you see in the current day with food truck parks in several cities.
Well in 1991-92 there were maybe 2 or 3 trucks along the street on College Avenue in front of Scott Hall. I think sometime over the next summer break the decision was made to put them all in the lot next to Crow. For the start of the 1992-93 academic year in September, all 5/6(?) of them were parked together in that lot, which I think included the ones typically parked further down C.A. in front of the Bishop dorms and near Alexander library iirc.I seem to recall having the option of more than one before 1992 in that area.

I can remember getting a fat cat from one of them across from Scott Hall in the late 80’s.Well in 1991-92 there were maybe 2 or 3 trucks along the street on College Avenue in front of Scott Hall. So the only one is that store front?
I thought one was parked by Alexander? And that there were others still around too.
RU gave them special permission to move the mobile trucks around campus while the yard was going up, but ended it when the storefront was completed. My understand was that they were too large for the food truck spots. RU Hungry used the big yellow trailer which wasn't set up as a true food truck; and that caused difficulty.Nah. They used to rotate around campus for a few years but then the university stopped that. The RU Hungry storefront is run by Aymans son now. We got to chatting while I was waiting for a sandwich and told me the trucks are gone.

I miss the Knight Wagon now that I've graduated. That stuff was good....
its awful that they killed the Grease Trucks
And should be (as suggested 🙂) inside the Stadium on the concourse in the spot where the cannon was that one season.Stupid university policy. Common sense should prevail, the grease trucks are a significant part of RU history.

Thank you. I’m not just a pretty face.😛That’s a pretty brilliant idea.
That was my spot. I lived at 96 Easton Ave for a few years and it was a few houses down.Jimmy still has his place on Easton, which has been there forever.
