In an utterly awful season, RU fans should be thankful for the effort Greg Lewis is giving us this year. He has been through a lot at RU and is clearly injured/hobbled this year, but he continues to gut it out and give us minutes when most players probably wouldn't. That warrior mentality to play through pain in a less than promising situation with this year's team should be commended. The underclassmen should take notice of what this senior is doing for his team and university.

As I've mentioned before, I root for Lewis more than anyone else on the court and I told him that at the Court Club open practice prior to the season. Just a wonderful young man. The optimum example of a non-quitter. Almost every team has a spot on its roster for an experienced 6-9 player, which he found out after graduating last year. He had several opportunities to leave RU and play his final season elsewhere. He didn't give it much thought, though. He loves Rutgers and wants to end his career where he started it. He deserves a rousing standing ovation when senior day rolls around.

Nice post. Not the season he, or any of the players, would have hoped for, but Greg absolutely deserves to be commended for his time at Rutgers. You can tell he really likes it here, and Jordan has stated on multiple occasions that he is pure effort. Has done some great things off the court, too. A true lead-by-example type of guy.

No matter what, Greg Lewis deserves our praise for his never quit attitude, no matter how much injuries slow him down

Greg Lewis is certainly a warrior. While battling a bad knee all year he has continued to give it his all on the court. I will never criticize a guy that tries his best, but, may be limited.

We seem to have one every year. That's all we pretty much have. But I agree and appreciate Greg Lewis for his hard work and dedication to the program. I believe he already has his degree which in itself is commendable.
