Figure we could use a thread about a guy actually on our team. Let's leave the comments about the other guy out of this thread
No shit... you do know they're only allowed so many practices this time of year right? These games lack structure or effort. Rutgers practices are far superior.
Yes. Just stating how many people are not even running to halfcourt after a missed offensive possession. They are good to get up shots. If it’s not run with structure of effort though, they can create bad habits. It wasn’t a shot at you.No shit... you do know they're only allowed so many practices this time of year right?

For sure. They can help in ways. I am also very high on Harper Jr.This is no different than anyone else running around the country.....there are "practice habits" and game situations, but I'd also caution that there are probably 12 possessions a game, where a player has to have instincts to generate his own offense, when a play breaks down. And these open runs, generate the confidence to do so.
Every player evaluated in done so in an AAU setting, which is as unstructured an environment as anything else. The one key that I'm confident in, is that Harper played within a very structured HS program and didn't play for one of the elite AAU programs, where you can get lost in the shuffle. Since Harper played on his own AAU afflliate and was coached by his Mom on the AAU circult, I think we are fine in being confident in Harper taking the next step.
