If so, was he turned down? Or was it a case where both sides said "maybe this isn't the best fit"? Or, were there never any serious talks - or even any talks at all?
Who were the other chief contenders for the job?
Was the HC at Pitt considered (as has been rumored elsewhere)?
Were there any "in-house" guys that were considered (such as the guy who filled in as the interim during Flood's suspension)?
Was Schiano a consideration?
