They were trying to generate some INT's. Since it didn't happen I have to say that we should have rushed 6 every snap, lol.

We had 4-5 would be INTs that were dropped including one on the final WSU TD drive that would have ended it for them if our DB held onto the ball. That's on the secondary and LBs. No excuse for that.

I had no problems with rushing 4 but I don't remember any plays where they would blitz a safety or another LB just to keep the offense off balance. The defense became very predictable.

They had the same issues we all complained about with Schiano. LBs covering slot receivers, etc.

I'm not sure if Hamilton is just that good, but it seemed we really struggled getting pressure today.

We should have been blitzing a lot - seemed like whenever we got pressure their QB couldnt handle it and good things happened.

Hindsight? How many comments in the previous days did so many here say we are going to have to blitz a lot. Then to go to the game and see practically zero blitzes? Drove me friggin insane.

As mentioned here, not in hindsight but all week long.. the reason you blitz these guys is that the DBs cannot be trusted to cover.. they are going to complete passes either way... but if you blitz you have a chance to force them to complete where you leave an opening.. meaning they have to react to your D and then make the right reads.. all while the clock is shortened and yu can possibly sack them.

I can think of only one legit reason to have not blitzed often.. and that is you couldn't train the DBs to wheel and shift to hide who was open when you sent someone on a blitz. It is possible that all the new guys justcannot get that right, so we don't blitz. Sad, so sad.
