I previously said that I think that if we went Langan at QB and just did the full Tebow offense, I think he would've been better than Wimsatt and Simon. The fact that Langan had a higher completion percentage and better QB rating with Nunzio than Wimsatt had this year is bad. Langan was a RS freshman too. He threw the same amount of passes but had more total touchdowns. A 44% completion percentage in todays day and age is absurd.

But this post isn't about Langan. Should we take a look at Rashad Rochelle at QB? Simon is meh and Wimsatt can't hit the broad side of a barn and doesn't run. When he does run, he runs like he's afraid to get hit. Art and Gio who were way less athletic than Wimsatt at least would try and get a first down. Rochelle is elusive. They put him at running back and he r ran well. He's definitely not a RB. There must be a reason why they didn't really throw to him. Either he has no hands or isn't good at run-ing routes yet.

Now before you say he can't throw, neither can Wimsatt. I feel that we'd be the school who would put Dennard Robinson at cornerback or something stupid like that. Half of the passes we throw are dink and dunks anyway. We don't need him to be an NFL QB. We need him to be a good college QB like Greg Ward. Look at his Hudl. He's rocketing passes down the field. His arm isn't weak at all. I don't get It. Illinois was recruiting him as a QB. I'd say at least let him try it. Gavin is NOT a dual threat QB.
