I have Comcast cable and so I have BTN. Are a lot of games shown on BTN? Is there any other outlet that shows games? Is there any radio in South Jersey? Thanks in advance.

Some of the games will be on BTN plus which you have to pay for. I'm wondering if you can find those games on Reddit streams

I wouldn't mind paying for BTN plus -- although I really should check out the price first -- but my impression is that I'd be watching the games on the computer, not on TV. The same is true of Reddit streams, right? Thanks for your help. I'd even listen on the radio if I have to, but I'm not at all sure RU games are broadcast down here.

BTN Plus is only $10 per month. Subscribe just before the first game and cancel after the last game that is schedule to appear on BTN Plus.

You may have to pay for 2 months before canceling. I do this same thing every year.

I don't think Rutgers basketball is on any Philly-area radio stations. But you can listen to WCTC via internet. (If you have Alexa, just say "Alexa Play WCTC).

Regarding BTN Plus, only a handful of games early in the season are on BTN Plus. The rest are on BTN or other cable channels. See the schedule which shows where each game is shown: https://scarletknights.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball

If you have a smart TV you can use the browser on it or Reddit app and cast to your TV with Roku firestick etc. Can plug in your computer to your TV too. Reddit _____ streams has links for almost all sporting events. I have BIG+ for bball and wrestling though

Thanks for this very useful response. Having a link to the schedule is really helpful. I'll think about whether I'd like BTN Plus for the games that are not shown on BTN.

RUTGERS ON THE AIR

Rutgers basketball games over the Rutgers IMG Sports Network via 50,000-watt WOR 710 AM in New York and WCTC 1450 AM in New Brunswick, as well as on WRSU 88.7 FM Rutgers Student Radio.

@Scangg I have a SmartTV, but, I have never tried to use it to access websites like BTN Plus. Does it work very well ? I don't have ChromeCast or anything like that. However, my SmartTV is connected to my Wifi because I use it for NetFlix and Youtube

It should work fine. It worked for me last year. It works for me for UFC and red zone. Just use your TV browser history like you would for your computer. It is just more annoying to navigate than a computer. If your TV has an HDMI cable you can also put your laptop next to the TV and plug it in directly which should work too

How about making the drive to the RAC whenever possible?

JK and I drive a little over an hour each way for every home game. RU Basketball is always a great night out for us

You're right; we should. But our house to the campus is 75 minutes leaving aside what traffic we may find in the immediate vicinity of the RAC and in finding parking. And that assumes that the traffic on the Turnpike is reasonable. The traffic is better with the lengthening of the truck lanes, but one never knows what will happen. But you're right -- we should do it sometimes. Of course, it would be easier to persuade ourselves if the team were a little better . . .

I would get season tickets but I'm in San Diego. I don't plan on missing a game though and will be back for the Maine game! Can't wait to see this team live!

BTN plus is worth the investment. I watch it on my iPad in D.C. They make it very easy to cancel as well.

Definitely plan to make it up from DC a couple times. Already have tickets to SJU.

See if there are any weekend day games that fit your schedule and try and make one of those?

Camden:
The game can be seen on TV using any streaming device.
Here's a simple walk through .

1. Attach Streaming device (I have Roku) to your TV. Connect to your network

2. On the Roku screen type BTN, the click on BTN2GO to install app

3. Open the app and use the code there to activate through your Comcast account.

4. You can then subscribe to BTN+ at the cost of $9.95/month in one of two ways.

a. on your computer at https://www.btn2go.com/secure/subscription?sku=BMONTHLYRUTGERS

b. or the BTN app on Roku. This app allows for later viewing, pause, replay functions for all BTN games

That's a good idea.

Camden, this team is going to be fun to watch. They will make mistakes, they will grow, they will learn.

I have a 50 minute drive from South Jersey, not 75 minutes. But it is worth it! Try out the 4 pack, and the weekend games can be a date for lunch or dinner. I do that with my bride of 30 years. We have a lot of fun.

Thanks! maybe we drive more slowly than you do! But you may be right, because I almost do the trip on a weekday.

If you go to the Rutgers athletic department website and look at the men's basketball schedule you can see which network -- or service -- is providing coverage for the games. It's pretty easy to access. Here is a link for you LINK

You must be near my age (67). I have many happy memories of listening to sports on the radio, and could gladly do that again. I don't think young people have the same memories of radio, since they were raised exclusively on the TV, VCR, and DVD player

LOL. Some of my happiest days of my youth were taking radio, and my ear plug to bed while listening to my beloved Knicks. My dad knew but made believe he didn't. Marv Albert, Reed, Frazier, Earl, etc I was 10 but my memory was wayyy sharper than now, sigh.
