How do you move our best running back (Hicks) to defensive back today when you have a running back on the roster who played DB last year (Goodwin)???

We can all scratch our heads on Laviano never coming out. We can scratch our head on how Flood cant figure out how to get Aguodosi and Carroo on the field together. This move makes the least amount of sense yet.

The bar keeps getting lowered. RU needs Flood insurance.

Goodwin is part of a very specific 3rd down package. Probably hard to replace/learn in one week, where as we have 3 RBs who have the same role. That said, I find the move puzzling. But I guess our depth is that bad right now.

Safety and cornerback are very different positions, especially against an option team like Army

Goodwin actually looked horrible in that one game. He didn't have the hips to keep with any of the receivers on their cuts. It was very obvious if you watched him in that game. His pick was being in the right time at the right place on a very badly thrown ball. There's a reason he never played corner again.

James is back. Cioffi is out. The starters are in jail. I would guess (hope) Hicks played safety in high school. Maybe he volunteered for the good of the team.

Obviously this is a desperate move.

We're not at practice, we're not the coaches, talent and depth, team first....

Did I miss anything?

Hicks has worked at Safety before. Goodwin played CB. There's no depth at DB but there is at RB. It's for 1 game. For all we know, the offensive game plan frees Hicks to play DB although that idea would go against everything we've seen for 10 games.

At this point there's little to say. It's a desperation move to try to win a game (which should always be the point). There is more than enough to blame the Flood and the staff for this year. The lack of depth at DB is at least 50% on the kids who screwed up off the field.

I never thought I'd be looking forward to the end of a season, Hopefully what most expect happens and we can all turn the page.
