My teams have their work cut out for them today. Rutgers hosts Michigan. Arkansas hosts Alabama.

So how do we win? It's pretty obvious that both Michigan and Bama have higher quality players, as a rule, at the skill positions. So, how do we pull off the upset?

1. Blitz the defense early and often
2. Crowd noise will help take them out of their routine
3. Make something special happen on special teams
4. Turnovers! We must win the turnover battle.
5. Play smart! No stupid penalties

It can happen! Why NOT today?

I think that as the season goes on that you will find that A&M is more than an OK team.

Southern, we will be pulling hard for Ark.

Our D is not big on blitzing and special teams has not been really "special" so far. However, if we can control LOS on O and run we can grind out clock and keep score lower. As the score rises our chance of winning goes down. We need stellar QB play too.

Maybe and while any conference win is a good win they didn't look great against USc or auburn.

- pick the right day to play them (great day for you - disastrous day for them)
- be healthy
- be deliriously psyched up - and sustain & increase it throughout the game

Gent, I was actually down in your neck of the woods last year. I had business training in Bentonville. Stayed there for 3 days. Hit all bars and the people were great. The owner of the one bar was born in New Jersey and loves it down there.

Will not be able to stop Michigan so they have to stop themselves, a lot. Can't let them score anything and we're already half way there. A tie before OT would be a plus.
Seriously, the way we are playing now doesn't bode well. I think it's all on them to screw up and we still have to show up. Would be nice to win, but being competitive is more important in this one.

Sorry Gent! You guys had a chance in that game until the pick in the end zone was returned for 100 yards. At least you showed up and gave them a battle. I wish I could say the same for us. 39 total yards, 2 for 18 passing for a total of 5 yards, 2 first downs and did not get our 1st until the 9 minute mark in the 4th Quarter. Ouch!

Yeah, Allen looked real good out there! I wish we had someone comparable to him, but you know our story already. We have hit rock bottom, so things should get better from here. I feel they will. If I hit Bentonville again, I definitely let you know. Thanks for the invite!
