Still so much to overcome. We can’t count on Graht and Martinii being as productive every game. Or Ogbole getting double figures in rebounds. Or shooting like we did from three. In short - everything broke right last night (except free throw shooting) adj we still barely squeaked out a win.
And the free throw shooting….sheesh.
But the team - and yes, Pike - get a lot of credit for last night. But in a macro sense, this means nothing unless we win the next two games.

What a surprise - a post filled with backhanded compliments. If everything broke right last night, which would've included a fairer whistle and a much smaller FT's made discrepancy, we win going away by 10+ as we were simply the better team. On the road against a team with a 20-game home winning streak.

It's more just that this guy thinks his inane thoughts about every game are worthy of their own thread.

Or that he thinks everyone needs to know what states he used to live in.

In short,

27 to 14 FT disparity, Harper was just okay (for his standards), JWill reverting back to taking low percentage shots, Sommerville and Acuff playing their worst games of the year, and letting up a season high OR rate. I wouldn't say everything broke right for them.

No doubt Grant and Martini stepped up. But they had big nights because Rutgers ran some great offensive sets for the second straight game and were able to get open looks. I don't remember either one hitting a tough shot.

You disagree with something? Please elaborate but consider the context of the season before you do.

Why can’t we? That’s what this team has been missing. Other people stepping up. This is what we expected from Martini, this is what we expected from Ogbole and Dercack and Grant. The game has finally slowed down for them.

Jwill was pass first last night and played like a leader on both ends of the court. I have been hard on him the last couple of weeks. Because I know he can be a difference maker. But he needs to accept his new role. He looked great.

Ball needs to move a little better on offense. Still getting stuck in people hands. But you can tell they are looking to make an extra pass to hit the open man.

Nebraska is a tough out for our roster. Especially at their court. First loss at home in 20 games.

the same could be said about a lot of our opponents. Those close losses had teams/players having record plays against us.
The fact that we had some players who have been less than inspiring show up and do what they did may well be the start of them doing it again and again.

We can…but no empirical evidence yet of the kind that would point to a six game winning streak.

“May well be,” but need to see it every night. Remember too…Ace and Dylan were both on last night but that won’t always be the case.

Ace and Dylan were around their averages… you know the number they normally get over the course of many games? It’s not like one had 37pts and we won. So yes if being on is getting to their averages then you have a point.

Precisely what I mean.

I like these compliments better than the OP's.

The empirical data is Dylan is a 20,5,5 kind of guy and Ace is a 19,5,5 guy. So you need 6-8 guys combine and to put up 30 on any given night. What was shown last night is there are way more people available to step up. Grant Ovbole and Martini last night. Dercack,Acuff, Dercack the next.

There are scoring threats all over the court. Now that everyone is healthy. Sky is the limit.
