I am DYING for some Rutgers Football action! Anyone know when the "open to public" practice is?

I am legit DYING for some Rutgers Football to be played. I went to the Spring Game obviously and that was awesome even in a little bit of cold, but that was like giving a single M&M to a starving child.... I NEED MORE!!!

Does anyone know when the next opportunity is to watch the team play live? My guess would be that it would be the practice that Flood opens up to the public, but I do not know when that is scheduled to be.

Can anyone assist and inform me of the date of this public practice? Or if they know of another "event" where I come see the team play live I would greatly appreciate it.

P.S I would even be willing to watch some of the recruits/commits in like a 7v7 tournament or something along those lines.

And yes I have already re-watched the Rutgers-Michigan game, the Rutgers-Penn State game, and the Rutgers-Maryland game. Nothing better than being able to watch the whole game from beginning to end and feel all the energy and suspense and excitement that was in the air for ALL of those games.

Especially the Michigan game since I was there live for that one and the video was taken from the almost the same section I was sitting in so it was almost exactly how I remembered viewing the game myself that now famous night where Rutgers obtained its FIRST BIG TEN WIN over the WINNING-EST FOOTBALL PROGRAM EVER!

If you can't tell I am so excited for this season. My and all my buddies and fellow fans/alumni that I have networked with at the tailgates all have group chats going on and it seems like people are somehow even MORE excited for this season than last season... which sounds impossible I know, but true.

I think the fact that we had a strong first year showing has REALLY sparked the interest, because now the fans EXPECT that we can ANY game on our schedule (besides OSU obviously, but as the nation has learned CRAZY things happen at Rutgers home games at High Point Solutions Stadium!)

Relax, boss. It's June. Practice doesn't start til early August.
If an when there's an open practice the board will be all over it.

Not sure why you started off an otherwise informative post with the "relax, boss."

If you aren't excited for some more live RU football then that's fine..... you should just go buzz off then "boss" and move on to the next thread.... but I AM excited!

But anyway I am the type of person who can look past poor social skills so thank you for the information that practice doesn't start until early August and also the info that this board buzzes when the "public" practice gets announced. THAT is awesome because that means that there are plenty of legit, knowledgeable fans of the team and not just "casual" fans that comes and go with the breeze.

Also, it would be cool to meet some of the posters and put a face to the usernames if we so choose to be "revealed" haha.

Big 7on7 at Rutgers at end of June

AWESOME info "6232" that is the EXACT type of knowledge I was looking for when I created this thread.

My next question might be a bit harder to answer, but do you know where they usually hold the tournament (either the stadium or the practice fields) and also if they tournament is open to the public? I ask because I would love to spend an hour or two one weekend watching some of the top athletes in the country throw around the pigskin and compete hard in front of the Rutgers coaches to try and earn themselves an offer.

Mike, thank you for being a die hard RU FB Fan.Your problem would have been solved if you had been born in my era. Then we you could have been standing alongside me and others at ALL of Frank Burns practices. It was a great time to have been an RU Fan.

You watched the wrong games watch osu vs. Rutgers and MSU vs. Rutgers and Wisconsin vs. Rutgers and for a real thrill watch Nebraska Vs. Rutgers

Well aren't we the antidote to happiness and hopefulness.

I watch the Michigan-Rutgers replay on BTN every week so I am doing ok. Would like to watch the replay of Rutgers-Maryland.

I love watching all the games on youtube but especially the Washington state game. The reaction of the Washington State fan to Caroo's TD on the first play of the game breaks me up everytime.

Rutgers Shootout is on June 27 from about nine to four at Rutgers Stadium and surrounding fields. Parking and admission are Free. They sell food and sometimes have Rutgers merchandise for sale.--In 2014, open practice was the same day as the Fan Festival, probably the first or second weekend of August.
