Game on steam called "Football Coach College Dynasty".. its a $20 game.. if you stick it on wishlist you will probably see it go on sale sometime in the future.
It is largely like a browser game, text-based, where you go through various weeks and off-seasons managing recruiting, budgets, hiring coaches, setting game-plans, practices, etc...
You can sim whole games or call plays..no Xs and Os moving around, just the results... what you called, what the D called.
It is highly simplified of course.. but is kinda interesting.
There is also a mod in the Steam Workshop called "JeffMod FBS Universe" that will give you the team names and logos you know. Have not looked at any other mods.. I suppose at some point someone may try putting real layers and coaches names in there.. but that is some task and would probably be lawsuit time.
Some of you might enjoy it... read the reviews.
I suspect you'll do better calling every play rather than swimming the whole game.
warning: game (and mod) is loaded with Sagarins-like assumptions about talent level of programs and coaches and limits as to who may recruit whom.. it does make local recruits more likely but if you think you can pick up the New Jersey team.. or Rutgers after subscribing to the mod.. and win right away.. you are likely wrong. Embrace the suck and then defeat it.
