If this was truly a neck and neck race I think you go with the kid that did not do something that was worthy of a suspension the week before the first game. Throughout the days of bad press this program received last week unnamed sources mentioned how there was little discipline on this team and what happened last week was bound to happen. This was time to send a message. Chris you were so close to starting for this team but you blew it and now Hayden gets the first chance to lead the team. Sitting him for the first half against a far inferior opponent was not punishment. Not one player on that teams saw that punishment and said wow coach is serious now.
I don't like the message this decision sends
