I Just Saw the Sargeant Interview On BTN, and Based On What I Read Here, I Expected A Hatchet Job

It was anything but a hatchet job. It was as measured as an interview can be, and he in no way threw Rutgers under the bus. He also came across far more eloquently, including conciseness, than depicted in the other thread. Even the one guy on BTN was measuredly disappointed with Sargeant for his agreement that the punishment fit the crime.

I am totally good with Sargeant's analysis and reportage in that piece.

Him and Barchi managed to leave out Flood only has Gameday Suspension. Fortunately the cover up will be picked up by the media soon.
They didn't leave it out, they weren't asked about it. Barchi was asked a far more direct question when he was asked if there is any reason to suspect that Flood won't be the coach in four weeks. Barchi gave Flood a ringing endorsement, so whatever the specifics of the punishment are, it appears, absent any new revelations, that Flood will be back.

Thought sergeant did a good job on the interview. Cited APR, Kyles character and the punishment fair. Different than the way he writes which is awful.

Sargeant should stick to print media - painful to listen to ..you know..
Sergeant and Duggan who was also interviewed sounded as if they just failed a Public Speaking course at RU and were trying to pick up a T-grade.

I agree I was expecting Sargeant to really pile on but he didn't. He put a pretty positive spin on the whole situation. I was shocked.

I can guarantee you this. Kyle Flood will not be e-mailing the professor of the Public Speaking course to see if there is anything Sargeant and Duggan can do to improve their grades.
