Winning the conference should be and is the goal.

Finishing above .500 in the Big Ten would bring lots of smiles around here.
Seems like the B10 is going to be a gauntlet this season. Selfishly, I was hoping a team like Maryland would take a step back with a new coach....Doesn't seem to be the case. As always, goal is to take care of business at home and steal a few on the road. I actually think the game tomorrow is huge. IMO, Ohio State does not have a good home atmosphere and the city tends to stay in football mode until post holidays. Think we can sneak a W.

This group seems even tighter than last year. I love our effort and Caleb/Paul has really taken ownership. My concern is that we are one scorer short of being a top 3-4 team in league. I think Cam needs a reboot. He can’t create his own shot at the P5 level so he needs to readjust to playing off the ball in the short corners. If we rotate ball well he should get 3-5 3’s off each game. When he’s on he can score double digits.
Its not impossible but road teams must hit 3 pointers and have go to scorers at crunch time.Its difficult because hostile home crowds impact the way the game is played.
That is a realistic goal, unlike the thread title. We are not winning the Big Ten a year after losing Harper & Baker.

Well you are a reasonable fella , but I hope you agree you have not seen a better defensive team in the league than Rutgers and some are just awful. That means you think there are a lot of great offensive teams or more experienced teams than Rutgers to be satisfied with 11-9. Who are these “ better” offensive teams that cause you such concern ? Just curious.
I don't believe it's impossible. Difficult? Yes. We've done it - not as much as we'd like but we have won on the road. Winning CONSISTENTLY on the road is Rutgers' next goal....

Maryland took a step back last year, when their coach quit on them in mid-season...
OSU will end up around 11-9 maybe 10-10. Indiana too. The Big Ten champion will have 5 conference losses
