I get the financial aspect of all these changes.

But I miss those Big East games.
I miss the Black Friday games which was pretty much a tradition after Thanksgiving for a few years.
I miss playing Syrcause and Pitt every season. Same with Louisville and a few others.
I miss winning.

The Big East was great for actual football on the field for us.

There I said it!

I too miss the regional BE rivalries but I ever liked Black Friday games.

RU now plays a bunch of midwestern teams with little juice/hatred

I miss competent offense.

The B1G will be scheduling Black Friday doubleheaders. My guess is that there will be two day games, but I don't know that.
I can see them adding a game or 2 on Fridays. What I doubt you see is a night game on BF. The Big 10 was really reluctant to add night games in the first week of November and has stood pat on none after the first weekend. If there are more added it will involve 11:00am CST and the 2:30-3:00 start times.

10yrs ago many would have sold their first born to be in BIG and now the complaining about rivalries etc.. unreal
I’m the one who would rather play more B1G games than less. 5H and 5A would be fine by me. Zipper schedule and we get them all sooner than later.

FYI…the B1G schedule for this weekend should be the way it ends every season. Add USC vs. UCLA and it’s perfect.
people miss things like the 2004 Thanksgiving game vs. UConn that kicked off at 10:30 am?
Didn’t like that one then or if it happened now.

A night game, sure.

Not sure where you're getting that conclusion from 95.
I see folks just missing the BF game with perhaps the OP missing the local teams and competitive play. Don't see them as complaining.

Empty stadium on cold day

No one misses these meaningless Friday games
True, but that's because up to now, those meaningless Friday games have been, y'know, meaningless.

A meaningful Black Friday game would be very attractive IMO.

Greg was the coach; it was his first year (2001). That was the game postponed because of 9/11. And Cal went into the game 0-10, not 0-11.
Hard as it may be to believe, Kyle Boller, a future NFL starter, was QB for Cal. He was a junior. He had a great arm, but he didn't know how to float the ball and he was bad at reading defenses. The next year, Jeff Tedford, the new Cal coach and himself a former collegiate QB, straightened Boller out.

So that can be taught.

I hate the fact that we are playing today at the same time as Ohio State/Michigan, basically the Big Ten Championship. Have to admit that I'll be viewing that game more.

You're not alone. Our game which is meaningless outside of bragging rights vs 2 undefeated teams which feature 1 or even both ending up in the playoffs.

Rutgers got their ass kicked on the field in the big East for many many years lmao.

Greg made the big East great on the field for us.

Greg will do the same with the B1G.

People just have to chill and trust the dude.
