True, but that’s one game. Freddie could be counted on against the likes of FDU and other weak sisters in the final minute. Didn’t make him a good coach, but you must beat the cupcakes at home on the schedule at a minimum.

I am all in on Pike, but his team should never lose the last 2 games..

I still say that outside of Freeman our big men are terrible. Just look at the stat lines for most of those guys. But it’s all we’ve got right now. We look to be far away from competitive in the B1G.

Souf replacing Nigel hurts. Absolutely no guard depth. Still a head scratcher.

And he refuses to play one of our centers for a significant stretch opting for Eugene at PF and Freeman at Center. This kills us late.

It hurts to not have a legit big man. There was one play where it was so obvious as to why Doorson has so much to learn. We had the ball and Doorson was in the low post. I think Geo had the ball and drove toward the post, then Hartford's big man rotated onto Geo and their #2 switched off onto Doorson. Geo went out toward the corner, and Instead of Doorson fronting the guard who was a foot shorter and giving Geo a big target, Doorson rotated behind the guard to the weak-side low post. I couldn't believe what I had seen. He gives Geo a target and he could turn and dunk over the defender. It's not just Doorson, most of players have a problem moving without the ball. Omoruyi is improving there, and Geo is already pretty good, but we are so offensively challenged perhaps because Pikiell came in to emphasize defense. Maybe next year's recruits will fill in some major gaps.

Post game on radio I wanted Recco to ask Coach if he felt sitting Corey half the first half may have cost him the game when we scored 11 pts in ten minutes and if it was worth it and he thinks that will magically cure a kid who has had those types of issues for the last ten years

Like our coaching a lot and we'll get there but -Questionable end game play calling on last two outings. On last play yesterday, with 1.5 seconds remaining - you do not throw it in the backcourt and hope for a 60 foot shot. Take your chances on completing pass to someone just outside the arc look for catch and shoot. If pass intercepted so what, percentages are still way better than desperation heave. Plus only being down 2, a foul on the inbounds gets us to the line and a chance to tie..
