I bet you're right. Didn't it come out that he was feeding stuff to members of this board? Or using board members to put information out?

Understand reading excuses for Flood can give someone a migraine, but I am getting a minor headache reading everything said about how bad Flood's tenure really was and how it hurt this years team and will hurt RU FB for the next couple of years over and over and then over and over again when something bad happens.
It might be the truth, but the same ol same ol gets old after awhile.
I understand message boards like this do that and posters should have every right to vent about Flood any chance they get.
My posting the human element was for a change of pace, even if it was only for me, from the constant ( but true) bombardment of Flood "bad" posts.
Better: all the people here insisting he would get locked-in to a huge, long-term deal, due to that agent, and we should just get use to the idea of having him around.

getting in trouble. If those things didn't happen Flood's 4-8 record might not have cost him his job and RU just would fall further behind in the recruiting game and the roadblock ( caused by poor recruiting) to success would still be there.
If by chance that 4-8 record was reversed, Flood might just have received an extension and raise.
I understand your point of view. Although we disagree a little, I refer your approach to Flood vs some of those maniacal Flood supporters from the RT
Know how you feel, but I think it was the comedy of errors that helped put an end to Flood more than his 2015 w-l record
At one time I was a Flood supporter.
At first I din't like the hire but llike many thought saving the recruits made it good.
But by the end of year felt his coaching kept RU from an outright championship and
hated the way RU ended the season. Blamed him.
The next season wasn't impressed but excused him .
Year three became a vocal supporter because of the way RU exceeded expectations
and got on people cases over it.
Year 4 had me start out on his side but seen the errors of my ways as season and off field troubles progressed and joined the Flood must go crowd and was happy when he did.
2015 was a year RU took some hits, but those hits made Barchi know changes had to be made ASAP and not left to when contracts expires.
Everyone should have given up on Flood by the time I did last season, but I'm sure it does get tiresome for valkabit and others on the RT hearing excuses for Flood that aren't valid

I decided to put something positive in and know can't put in how he ran the FB program
as a positive.
As a lot of us probably felt I didn't like the hire either.
After he won the first half of his initial year I got on board with Flood and thought despite having no coordinator experience, he is doing it.
When the 1st season fell apart I soured on him, and had doubts about his abilities.
After winning 4 of the first 5 games the 2nd year, specifically the Arkansas game, I started thinking Maybe Flood can do this, although I didn't quite have 100% faith in him.
When season 2 went off the rails, I lost all faith in Flood, I knew RU had made an error hiring him, although ofc I had no idea how much damage he would eventually do.
Year 3, while I had no faith in Flood, I was happy with Friedgen and the results he generated.
Year 4, with Friedgen gone I wasn't very happy, I didn't have much faith in McDaniels, and unfortunately that was a good judgment call.
As soon as the arrests became public knowledge (particularly all from one position group) I knew that meant he had no control over the team, and that he needed to be fired.
