as many of you have proclaimed here, why was Laviano named the starter? Do you think Flood would put his and his staffs jobs in jeopardy? Do you think the assistants ( McDaniels, Fridge ) didn't have any input into the decision? I agree that Rettig has the better arm but it takes more than a great arm to be QB. Maybe during the season if Laviano struggles and doesn't show improvement than we will see Rettig. I don't think even Flood is stupid enough to risk his $1M+ paycheck and be hard headed and stick with a decision thats not getting it done. And if he is, than the inevitable will happen sooner than later and many that want Flood gone will get their wish. As the saying goes, "Be careful what you wish for, the alternative might be even worse"!
