If we had just one more scorer...

I stand by statements ....

Oh...by the way...if you think I'm that far off....we were 7/8 games WORSE without Douby the following year with essentially the same team.

I'm going to plead ignorance here as a non-RU fan but bear with me for a minute.

It's probably fair to say that talent level wise, this is the one of the worst Rutgers roster in some time, right? So that means that Douby actually played with a better team, and still didn't make the tournament. But you think that adding ONE player is good enough to basically give you guys 9-10 more wins in one season? That's absolute crazy talk. There is not one team in the country that you could add a QD to and give them that many more wins. Basketball is SUCH a team game.

And I hear you on the fact that a shooter more than anything else and someone that can defend, but what happens when teams focus on him or he has a bad game? If anything, Pikiell himself has done a pretty masterful with what you have. Having a coach with a real vision and promise is much more valuable than any player.

If we were a average free throw shooting team we would have won 4-5 additional games. Add a average shooting three would have been 2-3 games and another scorer or finisher would be 1-2 games, that your eight to ten games which have made us a bubble.
The problem is that your ifs don't turn out to be reality this year or past seasons. The answer should be better talent but top tier recruits choose other schools.

This is not one of the least talented team in RU history. This is the worst shooting team in RU history. Big difference here. This team is deep and athletic. It shows up on D and rebounding. This is similar to Waters team but with more size.
