Many stars are aligning in RU's favor this upcoming season. To ensure it's successful there needs to be an insurance policy at QB.
I'm no fan of Gavin's as I was one of the first to start beating the drum for a portal QB last year. However, based on yesterday's game there's significant separation between Athan/Gavin and Ajani/AJ. This was not unexpected based on experience.
No one should be rooting for Gavin to enter the portal. They need someone with experience as QB2 and Gavin is the best one to fill that role in 2024. He may not be perfect but it's better than rolling the dice with two QBs that need more seasoning under KC first.

Greg likely won't name a starter until training camp so let's hope that Gavin is all in like he claimed so we have a little depth at QB.
