ikechukwu obiagu Commits to Seton Hall

Um no. I really like Obiagu. He's and elite shot blocker/rim protector. Very good rebounder aa well.

Needs some polish on offense and to improve FT shooting tho.
He'll have a year to improve his game and (I think)
many times players his size need more time than smaller players to learn how to use the talent they have.
As it seems now, he'll be a good bench player as is.
But might be a defensive force as a starter after working on his game using the time he has to sit to improve.

I’d rather see Rutgers basketball beat shu so their fans have to come to the RU board and post because they are still upset over the loss. Just like you are doing now.

Did you actually say you’d rather see RU beat SHU than make the tourney??

Rutgers deserved to beat Seton Hall last year. Rutgers executed in the last 5 minutes. Hall didn’t. But after Rutgers beat Seton Hall, Pikiell didn’t an awful job from mid-December until the beginning of the Big 10 tourney. That can’t be denied.
I think that "didn't an awful job" is good, but I am not sure. Would not deny it though.

I am there every time RU plays SHU and will be there again this December. Two years ago RU was so loud and we probably had at least 33 % of the crowd if not more. I believe there will be a lot of RU fans there again. They should open the upper level. We had large crowds at the Meadowlands many times so why not open the upstairs at the Prudential Center.

Hard to have confidence in that coach.

Hall, do your homework. Leonard Hamilton has been there for some 16 years, has won over 300 games to be the schools' all-time winningest coach. More than 500 wins overall-Oklahoma State and Miami, as well. 13 of his FSU teams have gone to the NIT or the NCAA.

Bear in mind--in Florida, football is number 1. Baseball is number 2, as Florida annually sends more HS and college players to pro ball than any state except California. Basketball is number 3. Certainly no different at FSU--you think of the guy in the seminole outfit spiking the lance into the turf before a football game; you think about FSU making another run in the college world series; and you generally don't think about FSU hoops. Hamilton is nearing 70, but he's been effective.

You are correct that his whole body of work is quite good. My bad for focusing on his odd end game management in the E8. And I did give him proofs for getting to the E8 in another response.

We can't beat Seton hall? You lost 5000 points and two kids have left the program already. Yes we lost Sanders but to think we can't beat you is a joke.

Well stated----effective---- a great recruiter----not slightly great either but you would never call his product on the floor a well coached unit.

Smurfs critiquing Hamilton yet their coach remains...Willard. Really?

Funny how Willard isn't seriously considered for other jobs. Telling actually.

As a RU fan, I'm more than happy that Willard continues to be at shoe. Almost has that Blaney feel to it. Their ceiling is the 2nd round of the NCAAs...that was with a senior dominant team.

Still a rat that pokes his long nose on the board to bash the Hall. Some things never change

Sad on the part of both schools that there are "adults' on their side that hate the other school. Some of you folks should consider growing up.

So stupid that we are talking trash to Seton Hall. They actually win and go to the dance while we dream of it each year. We have real hope with Pike but come on stop embarrassing yourselves.

Better than the 2nd round of a conference tourney. Now that's not funny but sad Rat.:chairshot:
