What a game he had. Did not know he played at Patrick school last year. Only averaged 8 points per game and only had interest from Minnesota and Seton Hall. He’s developed quite a bit.hes quoted saying Rutgers coaches said they did not have a scholarship for him.

A recruiting miss in our own backyard. But just shows you how under recruited some of these kids are and rankings don’t speak the whole story.

Roster management is a key part of successful Div-1 head coaching. Clearing scholarships and nudging non-contributors out the door is an art. Rick Pitino was the Van Gogh among his peers.

I saw him play twice last year. He looked very good in their first game vs Linden. He really impressed me as The Patrick school won in 2 overtimes. I thought he could have helped us. He committed to Illinois in March and we probably didn't have a scholarship at that time. Souf and Bullock left after that. What a shame.

The entire ACC, Big East, B1G and beyond wants a player like Giorgi....keep in mind, he's in much better condition and shape now vs 12 to 18 months ago.

Still have fans looking at recruiting rankings as some sort of status symbol...once you get from Top 50 to 60, it's literally about kids putting in the work and accepting coaching. Between Caleb and Georgi, you could have an argument on biggest spring signing for the next couple of years.
