As we get closer to Sept and start of a new season, I'm both excited and optimistic about this year. Yes, we are replacing 3 starters on the OL, starting QB, FB, TE but I'm hoping the OL gels quickly and either of the QB's deliver, not too worried about the FB or TE. We have a nice stable of RB's and one of the deepest WR's core out there. I think in the beginning we may see a "ground and pound" game plan, easing the QB in.
I can't wait to see how our D does this year. I think we should have learned from last year and having bigger DL and LB's and a much improved secondary will make a huge difference. With a ball control offense, keeping the D off the field, is going to be the difference. I would say our QB needs to be like when the Giants won the Super Bowl with Jeff Hostetler as QB, great D with strong RB, remember OJ Anderson running and Giants keeping a drive for over 9 minutes. I envision a similar offense for us this year as we break in a new QB and lineman. I can't wait for the season to start! This just feels like something special is going to happen this year!
