blowouts in league games on the road happen...

shoe's annual wheels come off, popcorn eating moments will be the NCAA first round, as a 5-7 seed, against a team like New Mexico State and lose by double digits as they wilt under the pressure...

But at least they get to the tourney unlike some teams.

Seton hall has one sport, should be good. And the Johnnies stink.

I watched some of that game. That was a game vs a team with a weak interior D where they needed Delgado to score 25 with bunch of offensive boards and dominate the middle. But guy was invisible .Just one offensive board. 4 turnovers.

regular season doesn't matter in basketball. Seton Hall will be in the sweet sixteen. Seth Greenberg, the BB guru projects them as a possible final 4 team.

and they got robbed....(kinda) I think Gene Steratore (sp) is starting to become that next ref that is too much....
Yeah, that was a ticky-tack call at that point in the game. The replay showed that he did have his arm wrapped around him and spun him a little, so I understand the call, but it wasn't in the act of shooting so keep the whistle in your pocket. I like Gene, though.

Those rankings are derived from taking ADJUSTED offensive efficiency MINUS ADJUSTED defensive efficiency

ADJUSTED means it is adjusted for strength of schedule.
Rutgers 3.9 comes from
ADJUSTED offensive efficiency of 98.9 (score .989 points per possession)
ADJUSTED defensive efficiency of 95.0 (give up .95 points per possession)

Our raw (UNADJUSTED) numbers are 99.0 and 89.4

On a neutral site with 70 possessions you can take the difference and multiply it by 70% and that is the expected outcome.

MSU 29.49 RU 3.9 =25.59. if there are 70 possessions it is a 17.9 point difference. Want to give MSU 3 points for home court they would be a 21 point favorite

SHU will probably get knocked out in the first round.

Their players are from NY, so I try to wish them the best. They never want to play together though, so they will not reach potential. Street ball hall. Coach does not get through to their players.

yeah but add that to the 10minute FBI investigation of the ball going out of bounds other end....getting reversed. You cannot review a play for 10 minutes and then reverse it....geez..if you can't see the call in 2 mins support the ref and call made. You could spend the entire game reviewing things for such technical misses. ruining the game..just like football.

Hig

Not an SHU fan per se but they beat Butler on the road Saturday-----Butler beat Nova by 15 there the previous week

Road win at Louisville and a neutral court win over Texas Tech who is very good.

Don't know what you define as street ball but they are a Top 20 team IMO

The Big East is better, and deeper, than a lot of people around here like to think.

Funny, when a Big East team loses, it's "they can't compete with the Power 5 in this climate." When they win, it's "it's their main sport; they should be good."

Whatever.

And it is AWESOME when Seton Hall gets smoked. Anywhere, any time, by anybody. It just is. I am currently doing a jig of glee. In my head, of course. I'm really tired ...

no they are not a final 4 team or a legit possibility for that....its fair to say they could make a run at Sweet 16 but they also are the type of team that gets knocked out in the first round
