Same old GS from years ago, why was i not shocked when i saw this availability report....
Some injuries are going to happen that's a given. However, most training camp injuries happen from fatigue and guys dog tired trying to push it. The list Schiano put out (that's a lot of injuries compared to our peers), can't just be chalked up to bad luck or that's what happens in training camp. Schiano said, he learned from his 1st go around about running a grueling training camp but after that list was put out, I started to wonder if he really had.

Since as long as I can remember. I recall the RU-VT 50-49 game. RU won on the last play and the extra point was not attempted.
Can’t a defending team score on an extra point. Is it the scoring team’s choice not to go for the extra point?
Interesting question. Here is the rule:
If a touchdown is scored during a down in which time in the fourth period expires, the try shall not be attempted unless the point(s) would affect the outcome of the game.
I think that is interpreted as "unless the offense needs the points". Not as "unless the defense needs the points". Could be wrong though.
I do recall a game in which a team scored a TD to take a one point lead with like two seconds left. Rather than risk having something funky happen on the conversion, they took a knee.
And it’s possible points, in some fashion, could matter in some tie-breaker situations for year-end league standings and bowl game selection opportunities.
Iirc after toure was injured the final scrimmage was dialed back a little. With veterans sitting it out..maybe the Powell and tore injuries pissed him off like they pissed me off lol and in the future guys like Powell and toure get more of like a NFL training camps prioritizing health and recovery..let the young guys get those reps.
