Les Miles is on the hot seat because he is in the same conference / division as Saban and no one seems to be able to get over the Saban hump...same goes for A&M, MSU, Ole Miss, Arky and probably AU
LSU fans are spoiled...and it is a dangerous thing to be...Les Miles is a great coach and RU would be lucky to accomplish half of what he has!
Fans always seem to want the next thing, and that is the Houston coach, Herman (right now he's the next sexy hire). I know A&M fans that want him, Texas fans that would fire strong in a second to get him, OU fans disgusted with stoops and LSU fans that want him...
The next hot coach is always the best...fickle fans!

LSU player who took a cheap shot should be kicked out for the entire season.

By the way les miles is 122-33 at LSU with a natty and another natty appearance plus multiple bcs bowls and they are ready to dump him into the Mississippi River wearing lead shoes...

I agree. That was one of the worst cheap shots I've ever seen. He should be suspended for at least 3 games. The Wisky player could have been seriously hurt...
And of course almost nobody anywhere has been able to get past Saban at Alabama. I'm racking my brains trying to think of what teams look like they have even a modest chance of stopping Alabama from winning yet another NC, either by taking the SEC title from them or beating them in the postseason, and the list is so damn short...

A miracle win by someone like AU or maybe LSU...I wish A&M would but their game is in Tuscaloosa so that ain't happening...everyone in the sec is playing for a nice non-playoff bowl...:(
Saban has been beating the SEC like a drum since he took over at Alabama. Miles has been a successful coach, but Saban is on a different level. He's turned the toughest conference in America into his personal playground.
I mostly agree. I wouldn't kick him out for the entire season, but surely for 3 games.
LSU needs to dump Les Miles, because only a slack jawed buffoon could assemble a team of that caliber, and yet somehow can't find a QB in a decade.

Would not surprise me if he goes 10-2...if only that second one could be A&M...unlikely but I can hope!
If you watched that game you would know why. Their offense was as dysfunctional as ours other than 12 plays in the second half where fournette picked up 8 yards up the middle. Their quarterback is on equal footing with Laviano if not less capable.
Perhaps the problem is the head & QB coaches. Identifying QB talent and coaching it up. Saban and his QB coach do it far better.
For all the criticism of Lane Kiffin, the man knows offense and QBs. A coach that can develop QBs is worth his weight in gold. As important as the position is, it's the most poorly coached position on the field.
LSU for years has had everything but a passing game. If they could get an adequate passing game he could be Alabama. They couldn't even throw it when they Odell Beckham for crying out loud!
make it 4 and we're done... if the wisky player was injured.. 2X his recovery time
And the .. what would it be.. 16 hours of game time he will miss.. and not even travel with the team, goes to doing public service named by the wisky player.. something local to LSU
