Taking a guess that your son is playing in the Squirt jamboree that day? If so, you can see the schedule on NJYHL.org My son is going on year 3 (2nd year Pee Wee) Hockey has effectively ended all tailgating for me for anything that isn't a night game. For Iowa we have a game at 8:30pm at Montclair State's arena. So a 3:30 game time basically means I'll bail at the half.

Actually after looking at the schedule we are almost guaranteed to get 3:30.

I'd be curious to know how you drew that conclusion when there are two games that the networks will find significantly more attractive.

Those will go to the ABC/ESPN networks. I'm thinking we are on BTN at 3:30.

ABC/ESPN will have the Ohio State/PSU and Wisc/Mich St games at 3:30, leaving one more 3:30 game. Iowa vs Rutgers on BTN. All the other games offer nothing and will be at noon.

I see the confusion. The week you play Iowa, Sept 24th, we play Michigan which is still TBD. Our OSU game is Oct 22nd and is an 8pm game.

I screwed up the match ups but the idea is still the same. ESPN/abc will take the psu/Michigan and wisc/mich st games at 3:30. That leaves Iowa/RU for BTN at 3:30.

It sure does sound like this is going to be at 3:30 game doesn't it? I'm kind of torn here as on the positive side it gives us plenty of time to get down there from New York City and also plenty of tailgating time. But it also screws up most plans for hanging out in New York City Saturday night.

There's no question ABC will take one of State Penn-Michigan or MSU-Wisconsin (which will be reverse mirrored on ESPN2) but you seem to be missing the fact that there's no ESPN game at 3:30 that day.

Now, I hope that which ever game ABC passes on will be on ESPN or ESPN2 at noon and allows BTN to show the RU game at 3:30. But that's far from a guarantee.

Long story short, we really have no idea yet if Iowa-RU will be at noon or 3:30 p.m. There's too many moving parts with other conferences.
