I am stunned that RU has not done better. However, to me it makes zero sense to change coaches till you change the entire program with REAL facility improvements including a super practice facility, dedicated nutritionist, first class travel arrangements via charter jets, and a marketing plan in place to develop a true fan base. I have said this in the past knowing how the other Big Ten Programs roll. They are run as if they are NBA franchises and the players are in a union. As an outsider looking in I see what most kids see, a program without resources and commitment to winning. I see a program thats not as solid as lower A10 programs. I see a program who will lose recruits to Monmouth, and heaven forbid FDU. I even saw RU is interested in a player from Roselle Catholic who would be more suited for the MAAC conference. Do they think signing this kid will open the door for others? Only in the year 1972 because kids are no longer loyal to each other as much as making it to the next level by any means necessary. Why not break ground on new facilities, get some transfers who will make RU competitive, watch the effort and commitment of players and if there is not much address your coaching situation. But without the tools, even a carpenter cannot do the job. Where is the plan to make RU the sexy school for recruits to consider and eventually sign with!
