Clearly I don’t know the details that have lead to Carroo’s suspension. But, what I do know and despite Rutgers losing a very exciting game against Washington State … is that Carroo’s “situation” seems to be overshadowing one of the better football performances that Rutgers’ fans have seen in some time when Janarion Grant put on a show.
Ironically, while in my local Verizon store this spring/summer, I ran into Grant and someone who was with him and she was the team’s academic liaison/advisor (don’t quote me on the actual role/title). Initially, I had no idea who he was, but wearing the RU gear and looking “athletic”, I inquired and he respectfully introduced himself.
My first comment (jokingly) to him after realizing who he was, was ….. “Are you going to hold onto the ball this year?” He and the person he was with just burst out laughing and he said, he’s been working on that part of his game and he’s ready.
Clearly from yesterday’s contest, he’s a man of his word. #OutStandingGameJanarion
