Due to an injury and a coaching change at Rutgers in 2019, he was converted to tight end and played at that position in the final five games of his senior season in 2020. Lewis is now fit again and would like to build on his previous quarterback performances in Marburg. Stevens therefore expects a lot from him: “Johnathan comes from an extremely well-coached background, starting in high school and continuing through college. His experience playing college football at the highest levels is a valuable resource that he will provide as a mentor to our players. He has been a fighter throughout his football career, fighting through adversity, and I am thrilled to give him the chance to continue his QB career here in Europe. He has enormous potential and we believe this opportunity can be his big moment.”

yup- son worked for a company a few years back HQ in London and during their Sales kickoff over there- they are introducing people and sort of glossed over a couple of Mich/OSU/PSU guys and introduced Rutgers as Ivy and well esteemed over the other boring American schools. - he didn't bother to correct them...and he was too big for any of the other guys to call it out. hahaha
