Johnson

We're very lucky to have Myles! He is deceptively quick and agile for a big man. And, he has reasonably soft hands and an exceptional IQ. He will continue to progress. I can see him averaging 15/10 by his senior year...particularly if he becomes a primary focus.

A few observations from last night - Yes, Garza is a beast. He also has great lineage (both parents played high level basketball) and has been groomed from a young age. He is laser focused on a career in the NBA, not a career in Electrical & Computer Engineering. I honestly think that's the primary difference - not to mention the academic time commitment. Otherwise, Myles, to me, has very similar physical attributes to Luka. With grooming (and success) comes belief. Myles doesn't yet have it. I can see it in his eye. When /if that belief is owned, however, watch-the-f*ck-out!

After reading this thread I went back and rewatched the last 12+ minutes of the game. I believe that both Garza and Johnson were in the entire time. Garza hit a 3 defended pretty well by Johnson with about 12:20 on the clock........he then hit a 2 with 11:18 on the clock after making a pivot spin near the boards.....agaon defended pretty well. After that.....NADA.....Garza was shut down and invisible on offense and denied position and the ball for the rest of the game.

Those complaining about Johnson in this thread are misguided.

Garza has more experience in playing in the BIG but Myles is continuing to improve. He has a great future and is playing in the toughest league in the country in which every team has a good big man at center. I love Myle's potential and am looking forward to continued improvement for him and our team. As Coach says, "Enjoy the ride".
