Unless she says she is replacing the coach, what is she to say. Anything less will just make everyone even more angry
What do you want her to say? Only thing she could say right now is despite the rough season Kyle is our coach and he will be back next year. So unless she is 100% sure he will be back she is doing the right thing and not saying a word.

No, with state of the Program in a complete Dumpster Fire the AD should take leadership .....it's her Department.
Herman was never qualified to be a AD at any Division 1 College Program and it is showing more than ever now.

She's not out there saying #1 like she did in the past and #2 won't get said till after the Maryland game. So better for her to just keep quiet and wait till the day or two after the last game to go before the media and issue statement #2. No good could come of her commenting on this dumpster fire between now and then.

Why would she say anything unless he is fired now. There's no benefit. She's aware of the issue. She has to separate the fans and make the best long term decision. While I think it is clear what she needs to do there is no reason to not let this play out the last couple of weeks of the season.
And even if the decision has been made I expect Julie would notify HCKF and let him finish the season and make a public announcement at the end of the season.

I'm honestly curious what your justification is actually. What is the substance? What makes her qualified or not qualified? I'm not on either side of this discussion, just looking for some good logical posts.
As an AD, you support your coach 100% up until the second they're no longer your coach. There's really nothing to say until she can cut him loose.
She's done a very good job for what's she been dealt. PR nightmare but a solid AD

Is it possible to criticize JH sincerely, or is it your belief all criticism of her basketball and football programs, which are both regarded as among the worst among their peers, can be only based in sexism or TP loyalty? Because you seem to go to that well a lot. It comes off a little weird, honestly.
Have a conversation with Theresa Grentz about how she demanded and won resources from RU for her team. You want an example of what an effective leader can be, Grentz got ground breaking things done.

I tend to want to give her a chance to make her hires. But it is also her job to advocate for the athletic department from within the university structure for adequate resources. If she is ineffective in doing so then she is ineffective to make any kind of change that we all want to see. And that would be her fault.

I'm in the neutral camp regarding her hire.
But I must say, she embarrassed the University by not being truthful with the media, and I wasn't happy about how she handled that?. I'm not surprised that Barchi keeps her hidden away from the media.
Ultimately, she will be judged by what she does with Flood this year and how the successor will perform.

Only 2 Teams are ranked and their Coaches have been with Rutgers long before Herman stepped foot on the Banks. The Wrestling Team is ranked #17 and Coach Scott Goodale has been here 9 years. The Women's soccer team is ranked #4 and Coach Mike O'Neil has been with the team for 15 years. Herman has proven nothing other than she is forbid from speaking in public.
Again give me evidence she is doing a bad job....based on actual thing ADs do and are judged on. She didnt hire Flood or Jordan not understanding what you wanted her to do so far. Flood is likely gone at the end of the year

Why is that a key part of the job? Her job is to ensure all the athletes are being taken care of and given what they need to succeed on the field and in the class. Her job is to fund raise which we are at our all time highest right now (still pitiful compared to other schools but good for us). Dealing the media and answering fan inquiries (other than major boosters) is such a minute and inconsequential part of her job.
