I was at Rutgers Camden. I had lived in Collingswood for three years. It was a slip and fall case. During voir dire I was asked what I did for a living. I told them I was a third year law student at Rutgers and I clerked for a plaintiff's personal injury firm in Philadelphia. I thought for sure the defense attorney would excuse me but he didn't appear to be paying attention and I ended up serving for a two day trial.Wow, how did they let happen? I was asked to serve on a federal grand jury in law school and I said I was a law student and was excused. They sent me a letter right after graduation and I had moved by then. Persistent but still understanding.
