After watching last night's game, it stood out that the offense ran so much better INSIDE the arc when the team was confident enough to hoist up 3's and space the defense. Not exactly a novel idea, I know. But as it became obvious that they were ice cold, they started passing up 3s and it really brought everything to a halt. So, they will need to keep that confidence through the year, and they will need to shoot well enough to really believe that they can make those outside shots. Otherwise, despite having some pretty capable guys who can create shots, we'll see that impotent offense we've seen many of the past several years. This also drives home the need for as many good shooters in the program as possible.

Very optimistic after seeing them play. Could use more offensive skill in the bigs but the freshmen are pretty legit and if there's one thing I trust Pike and staff to fix in time, it's defense and the ability to close out. Now, about that free throw shooting...
