I'm shocked (in a good way) that he left, but crazy as it sounds, if he's a 3rd rounder or 4th rounder this year (late 3rd is almost early 4th), then what would he have done had he returned for another season.
I didn't have Kroft going any earlier than the 5th round and was completely wrong. There are players that to me are extreme steals left on the board for Rounds 4 and 5, so perhaps need and fit outweigh talent.
It also speaks to teams are willing to stretch for problem kids, but at the same time, there are ZERO red flags with Kroft, if compared to other faster TE's drafted in the last couple of years.
Next years draft with Carroo, Hamilton, Lumpkin all going in the first 3 rounds will be a great night for RU football....If Longa can have a bounce back year, that would be 4 in the top 100 for RU.
