Everyone,
Thanks for all the feedback we received about the groundbreaking deal we announced with DEVCO today
Thanks to Chris Paladino who brought this great idea to the table and for helping us craft a deal with eight female student athletes to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Title IX.
A few notes about what's coming up:
We are planning a major presence for the new Rutgers Boardwalk on gamedays at SHI Stadium. Final plans are being worked out but it should feature three student athletes per game who will sign autographs, take pictures and participate in some fun. The goal will be not only to educate folks about NIL but also to offer a premium experience for KTR members as well. More to come there.
If you are already a member, please help us reach out $6500 match goal by BC kickoff. If you can get a friend to join, just email us with that person's name at henry@knightsoftheraritan.com and you will be entered in a special drawing for a gift. The deadline is kickoff on September 3rd and we'd love to hit our match. Anyone can join here: https://knightsoftheraritan.com/join/
We plan to announce more (individual and corporate) deals in September.
You also may have noticed my quote in the story above. We think it is critical for the average fans to be educated about NIL and that some of that education should come from the Athletic Department. While Greg Schiano has gone public with his thoughts, we think the department as a whole should help educate the average fan so that he or she should make a decision on where best to invest in Rutgers Athletics in the future. We encourage leadership to communicate its priorities in a clear and consistent way. We realize NIL and where it fit in is confusing to all and it would help you make your future decisions.
As always happy to answer questions and address the issues we can address.
Thanks,
Jon
