Rome was apparently destroyed during Floods regime though
why would he be laughing ??? ... because he took money from Rutgers for so long wihout earning it ??
Good, I don't want him anywhere near the sideline.
Kind of a perfect storm IMO.
- Flood couldn't recruit for shet and left the cupboard completely bare.
- You have an assistant in his first HC gig. Remember that when PSU did that they had a LB returning kicks in their first game.
- Washington is a good team with a very solid coach.

I'm not bashing Ash I wasn't expecting to even come close to winning this game. Like I said rome wasn't built in a day it takes time. I see some good things I like on defense. offense run game looks good other then that we have a lot to work on.

Flood is responsible for this train wreck. He is not entitled to laugh about it. The only highlight I have found so far today is knowing that at least Flood is no longer on the sideline.
This isn't Flood's doing, coaches work with the talent they have. We have talent, we just have a scheme that may not work for these guys.....yet

Please, Spank, what do you expect?? Some of us have been saying for 3 years now that that moron was destroying our program. This is all on him for now and, yes, he will continue to get ALL the shit that he deserves. The lack of talent is stunning and it shows in ST's in a really big way. Just NO quality depth.

I expected exactly that.
Flood was the Terry Shea of the current decade, except he couldn't coach like Terry. This team will turn around in due time.
I was not a Flood hater or, for that matter, a big fan either, But, he has absolutely nothing to be laughing about with what he did to a great opportunity and his career. Those RU checks will not be there forever and he will find it difficult to find another job anywhere near where he was.
I'm not convinced Flood even realizes he was fired.
I think I read that Flood was the one who set the match up, but Washington wasn't ranked in the top 20 when it was put together.

The rebuilding will take several years as we do not have B1G talent.

Shea was worse than flood at Rutgers . Shea almost had 2 winless seasons . That's almost impossible to do .
But really same result as each guy brought the program to the level that it needed a total rebuilding .
Really? The perception of the program is night and day.
Very easy for me to tell we have a group who knows what they are doing now.
Flood often laughed out of context....then he writes it down in his notebook/ promptly goes back to laughing.
