I can't remember seeing a home game go into overtime in recent history...just curious, does anyone remember when the last home OT game was?

I remember a home OT game against USF in 2011
I think it was this one. USF missed a late field goal in regulation, threw a pick to Harmon in OT and then Te kicked the winning field goal. Sanu had that ridiculous catch to keep the game tying drive alive (TD throw to Coleman) and Deering brought us back from the dead with a kick-off TD return.

Yes. I most remember the missed field goal by USF thinking the game was all over, as well as, how anemic our offense was for most of the night up until Deering returned the kick which jump started the team.

USF-2011, Obviously you were one of the many-many fans that left before regulation time was over, thinking RU was going to lose. Too many missed a great finish

:uzi: Don't forget WVU in 2000.

That may have been the game I was thinking about. I remember one game against WVU in which RU scored like 18 points in the 4th quarter to tie the game, got screwed on a game winning touchdown called back, and lost in OT.

The TD catch that was called back happened right in front of my seats. I remember racing back to see the highlights on tv and it was clearly a bad call.

Are you thinking 2000 or 2006? In 2000, we scored 17 points in the 4th quarter to tie the game @ 17. In 2006, we got screwed when they ruled that Slaton fumble down which we had picked up and ran in for a TD.

That was a great game. Was actually not sitting in my usual seats, because my wife got some near the sideline through her work. We were about 5 rows back from where the USF kickers were warming up, and we were jawing with them throughout the game. Their FG kicker had a less than 60% success rate going into that game, if I remember. They were talking a lot of shit back to us in the stands every time USF scored - the back and forth was a lot of fun.

Of course, once we tied it up, the kickers got quiet and we got a lot louder heckling them. When Bonani missed that chippy at the end of regulation, the wheels came off.... and none of them looked back toward the stands again. We like to take some credit for that win. Ha.

20006 was in West Virginia, wasn't it?

I'm thinking of a home game.

Nope, I stayed till the end, great finish. Just couldn't recall off the top of my head that this was our last home OT game

I remember two members of our tailgate crew leaving, then walking right back down after Deering returned the kick-off. It happened almost simultaneously- pretty funny to see. I serenaded them with my best Joe D from the Boomer and Carton show: "You guys are gah-bage fans! Gah-bage!" But they did come back!

SMU game was pretty intense (though never should have been).... I remember it being cold and windy (it had been beautiful, hot the day before and thunderstorms rolled-in over night). Up big, Carroo getting pushed into a brick wall, the smu comeback, non intentional grounding calls (just like MSU!) - crazy 2-pt conversion by SMU to force overtime, going for it on 4 and a very long 1 by Nova --- and then long run for a touchdown in OT....
