Trying to think of a pro comparison for Carroo but can't come up with a good one. Measures at 6'1, 205, and somewhere around a 4.45-4.50 forty time. Any thoughts?

Anquan Boldin.

I think his 40 time is inflated, because Carroo doesn't look particularly fast. He does have a 2nd gear and a good burst, but his best attributes are his agilty and strength. Both allow him to get separation and is more important than pure straight line speed at the next level, IMHO. This is because I see him playing a different type of WR position in the pros. Hopefully he'll have a 13 year NFL career like Boldin.

That was my initial thought as well.

He has very good hands. If he can do well against OSU and Michigan, he is definitely a 2nd round lock.

I disagree. In fact I think his speed is his most underrated quality. I can't remember the last time someone caught him from behind in a footrace. When he's gone he's gone. He has a smooth athletic stride so his speed may not pop out at the untrained eye, but he'll cruise past anyone. I still remember the Fresno State game when he chased down Isaiah Burse from oblivion to save a kick return TD. Carroo is no Grant, but he has got some rockets.

That being said Anquan Boldin is still a great comparison. He was actually my 2nd choice for comparison behind Reggie Wayne. I like the Muhsin Muhammad comparison as well.

A smaller version of Mo Sanu. He's going to be a possession type WR in the NFL. He's got excellent hands and is tough. He's not going to be a home run type player in the NFL.

Was thinking the same thing. Both are strong, agile, medium-fast (for the NFL), and tough, and both have great hands.

Reminds me of Terrell Owens. Physically attacks the ball. Excellent hands. So good at coming out of his breaks that he's often 3-5 yards away from the closest defender.

Carroo is faster than Sanu was and is often wide open. Sanu wasn't all that great at getting away from people. He obviously excelled at creating some space when going up and fighting for the ball. Also, I bet the both of them are the same height and Carroo is just as jacked as Sanu was.

I'm hoping he flies under the radar during the draft and falls to the Patriots. Brady to Carroo will be a ridiculous combo.

Like someone mentioned earlier. He's Steve Smith.. Deceptive speed, fluid routes, attacks the ball with extremely strong hands and hard to bring down with the ball in his hands.

Interestingly, I can't find anyone that he's a very close match with, and that may be a positive. I think that Carroo will be more of a deep threat in the NFL than most on this board are assuming. Compared to Sanu, I would say that Leonte is faster and quicker, but is about an inch shorter. Sanu is 6'1.5" and I suspect that Leonte is 6'0.5". I think that Leonte's height is the only thing that may keep him out of the 1st round.
