Let's keep the negative stuff out of this thread.

I thought there were a LOT of positives in tonight's game.

No turnovers.

Very few penalties.

Mixed things up on D. Brought pressure many times tonight, even from the CB spot.

Carroo is back and was fabulous.

Ran the ball effectively, especially in 2nd half.

Tackled very well - don't recall many if any missed tackles.

Great atmosphere - the blackouts rock!

Tons of recruits in attendance

Hung with #4 team in the country (maybe not at end of year, but that is their rank now).

Played with heart and emotion all night long.

A lot of these things are things we haven't seen all year, so that in and of itself is another positive.

What else you got?

Even the scout team got into riling up the crowd, great energy on sideline

The best thing was the comeback after MSU scored 2 TDs to start the second half. I am sure D'Antonio was really shocked by that. Shows this team has heart and plays really hard. Hopefully that bodes well for 4 more wins, starting next week.

Everything this looked like a totally different team from the first four games. Played with emotion and we actually Blitzed. We really Blitzed where was this the first four games. Only three or four completions went unchallenged to boot. Saw some good coverage now if we could only learn to read the receivers and turn or heads when the ball arrives we will have something special.

-We played with no fear. Completely undaunted by the #4 team in the nation. That shows maturity, which is very important going forward.

-I got to watch my buddy, a pompous MSU fan, have a heart attack.

-The sleazy pundits could trash us in the media all they want, they will NEVER kill our fanbase. We showed up and showed the hell out tonight. What an atmosphere.

-Carrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

The play of the OL and DL..which has been lackluster. On the long 91 yd FG drive, the RU OL really had the MSU defense on their heels and they were really tired. The DL was much better in stopping the run and getting pressure on the QB without always blitzing. Much better.

D was much more physical. Did you see how many TFLs and just stone walling off the RBs we had up the middle? I haven't seen that on D since 2012. Also liked that we tackled well for the most part at the LB level and secondary, none of that bounce off the offensive player and hope he falls down crap. It was good hard physical wrap up tackling. Also we only had about 4 penalties ALL game. That's great to see.

Very surprised the holes our OL was able to open up vs the MSU DL. Running game was pretty good in the second half. Laviano performed much better overall. He had more zip on his passes (the first Caroo TD wouldn't have been a TD without that zip). Still needs to work on hitting receivers in stride and throwing consistently with a higher velocity especially on deep balls and passes out to the flat. Locking in on Caroo most off the game helps I guess but he did spread the ball around a little which was nice to see.

Great tailgate, great weather, very good game. Thought the team played good. Great to see Caroo back.Quentin Gause had an awesome game.
Thought the fans did a good job also.

Student section
Best tailgate weather you can ask for
We got punched in the mouth with their two TD's but we did not fold
Grant is also a beast, every touch everyone is just waiting for him to break it
Gause was awesome
Laviano played a very good game, I am very happy for him
Our second half running game
Many more but I am still half asleep

The defense looked the Rutgers defenses of old. It reminded me of when we had an identity.

-Love having Carroo back
-Laviano managed the game great
-Thought the student section was lights out, and loved seeing them all in black
-Defense was solid - got some nice pressure on their QB
-Kudos to our run blocking - really did a nice job
-Only go to a game once a year because of work, but felt that the techno music was much better at firing up the fans than in years past
-Overall team played well and hung in there for a whole game with the #4 team in the country (though I think that ranking is off) - very proud of this team, even though I'm greedy that I still would have loved a win.

I loved the video game halftime show! Great use of the scoreboard as a start screen!

I really liked this concept, and was excited when they started and agree that I like the use of the scoreboard of the start screen. The execution seemed off though, and while I felt the idea grabbed the crowd, I feel by the end they lost most of it.

RU can play with a top 10 team, at least at home.
I don't think RU lost, but MSU won since they really showed that in the way they won in that last drive.

- Intensity by both the offense and defense, as well as by the fans, giving the BTN a 3rd great prime time show in one and a half seasons.
- the absolutely perfect night for a football game, had us reminiscing about Louisville 2006
- just 3 penalties for 20 yards, a huge improvement

The team needs to carry this forward to Bloomington next week. If it does, they will come home with a win.

Overall the team played well. I just hope it carries over.
Dantonio showed why it's difficult to upset MSU. He has a call for every big 3rd and short. Their play calling was really really good.
I thought our D hung in tough and did what they had to in order to give our O a chance. I know MSU had a lot of passing yards, but Austin and Wharton made some veteran type plays on D.
I was watching our DBS instead of the DL on several blitzes, and they had some great coverage. Yes, I saw some 3rd down completions, but our DBS forced Cook into making some tough passes. Hester is a baller. So happy we got him back
