*** Looking for another basketball board moderator or two ***

I'm expecting things to take off over the next year, so it would be great to have another person or two who can clean things up if/when fans from other boards go over the line....or when our own fans occasionally take things too far.

Here is the catch....If you are the type who likes to mix it up, this isn't the spot for you. The ideal person is someone who is "a lover not a fighter." I enjoy a bit of lighthearted banter between our fans and fans from other schools, so if you are someone who wants to eradicate all signs that Seton Hall exists, this might not be the role for you. It is a thankless, unpaid position --- How's that for selling you on it!?!?!?!

BKin118 has been a strong presence and moderator on the board for years, so if you generally agree with his outlook on board moderation, that would be a huge plus.

Given those requirements, I’m still baffled how you ever made DJ Spanky a mod. He’s toned it down a b,it but for years he was one of the more confrontational guys on the board.

That one was puzzling.

This is like Jury duty. You should have a questionnaire to see if someone qualifies. Sample question, "Do you have a bias or hatred towards other schools?" My answer would be yes, I view all other schools with disdain and would kick all their posters off the board immediately without exception. Exactly like how the psu moderators operate.

Not gonna lie, I'd be judge, jury and executioner with fans of other schools as a mod. Don't think I'd be cut out for the role lol.

This board has more of a problem with our own Fans taking things too far with over the top attacks on current players.

Let me know if you need any help on the ticket forum. I'm active there and wouldn't mind helping to keep that site clean ..by clean I mean getting rid of old post game exchanges to keep it fresh and relative to open opportunities and easier to navigate current game offers.

I've taken a lot of pride in helping to keep this place clean, pleasant and informative over the years, despite controversy, coaching changes and sometimes just awful basketball.

I read other boards, both Rutgers related and from other schools, and I wonder why anyone would waste their time sifting through garbage and hate to find "the good stuff". It's never that way in this forum.

I'm proud to say that this Rutgers Basketball community has had my back almost exclusively, and our input is both noticed and valued by staff at all levels within Rutgers Athletics. Relevancy and relaying accurate information has always been my standard...and I thank all of you who've helped us reach and sustain that.

I highly recommend taking the moderator challenge! It's a rewarding role when done well...email me if you have questions!
